The Steminist Club

The STEM subjects are traditionally lacking when it comes to gender balance and still today women are often significantly under-represented, particularly when it comes to senior roles and higher paid positions. My aim is to encourage younger generations to take up STEM subjects; for them to appreciate the diversity of roles available for individuals interested in STEM and for them to realise that getting those higher paid roles is well within their reach.

So come and join the club, get involved, share your stories and learn with us as we try and help you through the rocky road of adulthood, from graduating to retirement and everything in between!

The Tao of Self-Confidence

In 2021, women represented 54.3% of the US workforce but only held 35% of senior leadership positions. Of that percentage, only 2.7% of Asian women were seen in management roles. While there have been great leaps for women in the workplace in the last decade, women of color still fall behind. ···

The Women’s Network

A NETWORK FOR WOMEN

The Women's Network (TWN) is a national women's networking organization that was launched on the campus of Syracuse University in the fall of 2017 by founder Jamie Vinick. TWN was created to provide collegiate women with the resources and tools they need to authentically and successfully network. TWN recognizes key barriers women often encounter when entering and advancing in the workforce, and works to amplify women's voices to combat such obstacles. The Women's Network is a community of high-achieving, motivated women who are "unapologetically ambitious."

Redefining Ambition is a podcast produced by The Women's Network (TWN), to highlight the unique experiences of women in leadership roles across different industries. In each episode, guests relay their own personal stories- how they have ascended in their careers, the twists and turns their career paths have taken, and how they have found success in facing both personal and professional challenges. The goal of our series is to demonstrate the power of ambition, passion and drive in order to inspire future generations of women to achieve professional success.

Third State Books

A NEW PUBLISHING HOUSE AMPLIFYING STORIES FROM ASIAN AMERICA

Third State Books is the first general interest publishing house focused solely on bringing Asian American voices, stories, and issues to audiences who cherish them. AAPIs are the fastest-growing ethnic group in America, with over 30 million people in the US and Canada, and we believe Asian American culture transcends boundaries and enriches all of our communities and our lives.

A cornerstone of the Third State Books ethos is narrative change; owning our own stories rather than allowing the homogenous and extremely gate-kept traditional book publishing industry to present this narrative on our behalf. Through fiction and nonfiction, for adults and children, Third State Books will publish stories that more fully represent authentically Asian American experiences to universal audiences.

Our name, "Third State,"" refers to the unique experience of being a bridge between cultures as Asian Americans. We proudly occupy a distinctive space and identity all our own.
